Impatiently waiting....patiently

So Alison's due date is tomorrow, June 1st. It has been such a fun exciting process for all of us as we prepared ourselves for auntie-hood, uncle-hood, grand parent-hood and parenthood. I cannot believe these nine months are already past...and we are waiting any minute for Caedmon my precious nephew to make his grand entrance. Alison and Kurt came over last night and we did all we could to help this labor along....walked....got golden spoon (supposedly ice cream helps with labor) and then walked some more. They slept through the night....we received no phone call....so the wait goes on! I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of my nephew...I can hardly wait to hold him in my arms, to hear him cry, to watch him sleep soundly, to bundle him up on a cold night, to get him in his angel gear and take him to his first Angels Baseball game...so much to look forward to with this little man!!! Becoming an aunt is like nothing I have ever experienced before....I love this little man, even though I have never met him. What a joy it is going to be to watch him grow up...take his first steps, go to elementary school, high school, college, date and get married to a wonderful, Godly woman! What an honor it will be to have be a part of his journey....from day 1!!!

Please keep Ali and Kurt in your prayers as these next days are going to be painful, emotional, joyful, exhausting, and rewarding all at the same time! Pray for health and sleep for all 3 of them...mommy, daddy and baby Caedmon!

Caedmon, I cannot wait to meet you!!!

Love, Auntie Em

So proud

So Bryan and I have been planning a wedding and a life together on somewhat of a tight budget. We have been blessed with parents who have helped us out tremendously, but we are getting into the habit of being thrifty, so a few months back we saw these fabulous end tables at a garage sale. They are solid wood and FABULOUS! They were only $10 each, so we bought them both even though they weren't in great condition. It seemed as though the previous owners had tried to refurnish them...and well didn't have a clue as to what they were doing. They looked awful!
(these are the before pictures - they are not done yet, but I will be sure to post the after pictures when my handsome fiance finishes them)
So, they have been sitting in Bryan's garage since we bought them until just a few days ago. Bryan took them out of hiding on his time off these past few days and has fixed them up. This has been so fun for me because I can just see us a few years down the road...something breaks in our house and my handy-man husband will do what it takes to fix it. Its things like this that remind me how blessed I am to be marrying such a hard working man like Bryan! I just love him to pieces, and am so excited to be his wife...only 108 days left!!!

Let the VBS Madness begin!!!

So I cannot believe it, but I have our 1st VBS meeting of the year this morning at church. I picked our VBS back in December and have been waiting for us to start planning ever sense! Well, so I have been geeked out about our VBS, so I have been planning like crazy, but it will be great to have others share in the excitement with me! This year is going to be a fun one, I can already tell....I have some pumped volunteers and some children that are already signed up....which is nuts considering sign ups don't start for another month.

So needless to say I am pumped for VBS this year...visit our VBS site for more information - if you want to lend a helping hand or know of some kiddos that would like to let loose for a week on my clock....send them my way!
