Together...every step of the way
So its Thursday and Melissa is getting married on Saturday, my how time has flown by. It seems like it was just yesterday that we were staying up late at night playing cards until mom and dad came to tell us to be quiet. She and I shared a room for 17 years and what a blast we had. We talked about EVERYTHING and shared so much with each other. I remember when Melissa started public school...and well I decided I wanted to go with her. So she and I started public school the same year :) I remember being sad when she left elementary school to go to Jr. High, so I naturally wanted to go where my big sis went, Johnson Middle School. Then when I got there she was starting her freshman year in high school at Marina.....again I wanted to follow her there so in 2002, I found my way in the freshman class at Marina while she was a Jr. She and I hung out together, our lockers were by each other, we were in clubs together....we loved each other. Melissa graduated High School in 2004 and I grieved that even more. Melissa made her way to Biola University to work on her bachelor's degree. I reluctantly applied at Biola and had it primarily as a back-up plan. Well the Lord had other plans for me and I once again followed Melissa to Biola. Melissa got engaged in October 2009, well and then I followed suit just a month later. She and I have done everything together and have shared all of our milestones together....what a blessing it is going to be to share her special day with her as her maid of honor. Saturday is going to be a great day...because I get share in the happiest day of my best friends life! Love you Myce!!!

GOOD FRIDAY

~John 19:16-30~
16"So he then handed Him over to them to be crucified. 17They took Jesus, therefore, and He went out, bearing His own cross, to the place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha. 18There they crucified Him, and with Him two other men, one on either side, and Jesus in between. 19Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It was written, "JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS." 20Therefore many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Latin and in Greek. 21So the chief priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, "Do not write, 'the King of the Jews'; but that He said, 'I am King of the Jews.'" 22Pilate answered, "What I have written I have written."23Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His outer garments and made four parts, a part to every soldier and also the tunic; now the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece. 24So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, to decide whose it shall be"; this was to fulfill the Scripture: "THEY DIVIDED MY OUTER GARMENTS AMONG THEM, AND FOR MY CLOTHING THEY CAST LOTS." 25Therefore the soldiers did these things. But standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He said to His mother, " Woman, behold, your son!" 27Then He said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" From that hour the disciple took her into his own household. 28After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, said, " I am thirsty." 29A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth.30Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, " It is finished!" And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit."

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
Truly the sentiment of this old hymn, still rings true today...."ALL TO HIM I OWE!" Even when I fall short of His commands for me and am disobedient, Christ offers forgiveness through thr cross, that I may come just as I am. He welcomes my sinful and unclean self with open arms....WOW! He LOVES me and YOU that much!
How incredibly grateful I am that my savior died on that horrible day, so that I may have eternal life with Him and share in eternity with Him, my creator! God is good! I thank God that it didn't end at the cross. He rose from the grave on that third day! PRAISE THE LORD!
