lasts...

So today is sort of a bitter sweet day for me! I am packing my bags to go on my very last floor retreat ever. I am so looking forward to this retreat to bond and connect with the girls on my floor. Its last things like this that jump start the grieving process of leaving this fabulous place where God has molded my character so much! I have grown so much at Biola and the friendships I have made have chisseled different parts of my character, everyone has made a mark on my life! My prayer is that this weekend will be memorable and impactful! I'll be sure to update when I return!!!

Halloween Festivities

Halloween at ShoreLife Church
KIDS ZONE - HARVEST PARTY

So this year was the first ever Harvest Costume party for the kids at church! We had an absolute blast together!!! Here are just some pictures from our fabulous evening together!

Then to continue on in my halloween festivities I participated in possibly one of the most fabulous Halloween traditions ever on Halloween evening. I live in Alpha (at Biola University) and for Halloween each year, the residence of Alpha transform the entire dorm into a Candyland Board Game. Each floor is themed to be decorated as a different "land" in Candyland - my floor being "Gloppy". It was a blast. The best thing is that we use it as an outreach for the kids of the community surrounding campus. We hosted about 800 kids from the neighborhood as they went trick-or-treating door to door in the dorm! It was great fun seeing that many kids come through. We also had our lobby transformed into a carnival like atmosphere where they could play verious games, a bounce house on our front lawn and a big screen in the front playing "Candyland the movie" (which I did not know existed, but the kids and families loved it). Here are just some photos that capture the event!
